Meet the Founder: Joshua Wilkinson
BEng (Hons), CMgr MCMI
Joshua brings over 15 years of senior commercial, technical, and operational leadership to Horizon Consulting. His career began in the United Kingdom as a Weapons Engineering Officer in the Royal Navy. Over 13 years, he led engineering operations and asset readiness during global deployments in high-risk environments, managing teams and advising senior leadership during crisis response.
Following his military service, Joshua transitioned into the North American energy sector as a General Manager and Business Development Lead. Originating strategic relationships with major operators like Enbridge and Valero, he managed complex technical project deliveries across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He intimately understands the commercial demands, margin controls, and high-level stakeholder engagement required to thrive in the industrial sector.
As a British Citizen and Canadian Permanent Resident, Joshua founded Horizon Consulting to bridge a critical gap in the market. Combining his Chartered Manager (CMgr MCMI) credentials with his background in Electronic Engineering, he acts as the definitive link between elite military leavers and high-demand Canadian industries, ensuring employers receive talent that is trained to execute and built to lead.
